Fab site, I have been on my own two years now with a 4.5 yr old and now 18month old (he left when i was 6 weeks preg) and am LOVING IT!!! The only stress i get is from my ex’s demands. Other than that, we girls have a really loving thing going and have a great life. The whole nuclear things still weighs at times, more that they dont have a live in dad, and how that will affect other relationships for them. For me i could care less, I am happy in my self.
Great site, and hmmmmm, poker heh, always wanted to learn……

New to blogging myself and found your site by accident…..LOVED IT!

I too have children the same ages as yours and also enjoy poker night for pitiful pots! Due to this I will definitely be popping in again to enjoy more of your pearls of wisdom and to see if our outlook is similar in any other way.

Thank you for reminding me that it is okay to be a single mum. Personally I am in the first few days of it, due to a separation and it is nice to hear another side to the story. Waving goodbye to the nuclear family concept has been terrifying, but in my heart I know there is something else there for me too. I was seeking some new thinking around this and came up with your website. Nice.
Then I found this on wikipedia….

Today nuclear families with the original biological parents constitute roughly 24.1% of American households, compared to 40.3% in 1970.[8] Roughly 75% (or percent) of all children in the United States will spend at least some time in a single-parent household.[citation needed]
