MY ex is retired, gets pension,so no 'income' from a job or business, and has not paid maintenance for years. My kids are 9 and 11. I have very little income, but do not claim benefits because I live with my boyfriend, and that negates any benefits I could claim. However, should that stop my ex from paying maintenance?
