It used to be the argument should a mum go back to work. Now it seems the argument is how can a mum can return to work. In the current work and economic climate it’s not that easy. So you trawled you way through the dating sites, been on the blind dates set up by well intended friends and spent a lot of time in the supermarkets, libraries and art galleries and finally found a man. He has even passed the small milestone of being compatible. Now is the time you get to see if he is actually into you as much as you are into him. Yes I know your gorgeous, lovely and an absolute delight to be around but is it a case of ‘he’s just not that into you’? I have just read the brilliant book of the same title. They call it the no-excuses truth to understanding men and with its no nonsense, tell it as it is approach it really was like a breath of fresh air. You might even recognise the line from Sex and the City but that will be because one of the authors was a writer and a consultant from the series.

These are just a few of the things they cover and I don’t want to spoil it by revealing all of it. Its not expensive, it’s from a different point of view. It even manages to leave you feeling good about yourself in some awful situations.

Its not very often you get the honor to actually know someone who has the determination, stamina and skill to sit and write a book. Let alone have it published. I am very honoured to say I know Tessa Hainsworth who has done just this, and though not a single mum, she does deserve honourable mention. The book will be out shortly and I have already pre-ordered my copy of Up with The Larks .Knowing her and the family I know it will be a one of those books that will leave you feeling all fuzzy and warm inside.
