The Start of Summer? Seriously?

Seems fitting that on the first day of summer I am out in the wind and the rain rescuing tomato plants. I know as veg grower I am supposed to be happy with rain as its got far more nutrients than tap water…oh and cheaper too. But the downside to all this rain is that the peas have had such a growth spurt that have nearly broken free from there netting. The potatoes have grown all green and leafy but the wind has made one of the bushes fall over breaking all the stems. Even the summer flower pots are looking like they really have had enough of all the rain too.

I fear the summer weather of constant rain will resort me to this.
