You would think taking a photo or a card would be easy, well ok I thought taking a picture of a card would be easy. Turns out its not. I read up on all the hints and tips and dragged camera, plain cloth and cards all round the house trying to find a sunny spot. In house that has really large windows I have discovered its the wrong time of the year as the sun is too high and the actual sun bit coming into the windows is about zilch.

Ah-ha I came up with the idea of making my own light box. Came a bit unstuck by not having a box to start it or any lights that would act as spot lights. Last resort I turned to good old ebay and bought a mini portable photo studio. It finally arrived today. I knew I ordered the smallest size ( and cheapest) but didnt quiet expect it to be the size of a small briefcase- ohh it pops out to a bigger size …phew.

I played with the 4 different backgrounds it came with and decided the red and blue really didn’t work. That left me with the black and white and so far I am favouring the black.

Being a single mum is hard work ...and thats the good days. This is my little corner of the world where I waffle on about being a single parent to two teenagers and my life with two cats and a veg patch.
